Recreation at Stanford Sierra Conference Center

Be sure to schedule some free time for your meeting participants to venture outdoors, breathe the fresh mountain air and take advantage of the wonderful recreation at beautiful Fallen Leaf Lake.  A perfect way to release energy from a busy day during your business retreat or educational conference is to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. You can:

  • Check out a complimentary sailboat, kayak or canoe from our boat dock.
  • Hike one of many trails right out the back door into Desolation Wilderness. One popular trail takes you to historic Glen Alpine Springs. To see the trail options, download a Trail Map.
  • Fish for Mackinaw, Brown, Rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon in the clear, deep water of Fallen Leaf Lake.
  • Challenge your associates to a game of volleyball, basketball or horseshoes.
  • Shop for souvenirs in the Fountain or take a walk to the nearby Fallen Leaf Store and Marina for some shopping there.
  • Schedule an in-room massage or head for one of many spas in nearby South Lake Tahoe.

Relax and enjoy the view from the boat dock, beach or one of many decks. Nearby Lake Tahoe attractions include the Tallac Historic Site, Taylor Creek Stream Profile Chamber and Camp Richardson Resort with horseback riding, and boat and bicycle rentals. Lake Tahoe Golf Course is just 30 minutes away.
