During the spring and fall we transition from our summer camp mode to our conference professional mode while maintaining our friendly, camp attitude. Many seasonal and regular staff live on-site and are happy to share their knowledge of the area with guests. Our regular staff include:

Assistant Director
Brant is responsible for organizing our summer family program and hiring the 60 Stanford undergrads that treat alumni families to an amazing week each year. During the conference season Brant oversees day-to-day operations and helps keep our group events running smoothly.

Shirley oversees and keeps the front office, accounting and finance running smoothly. After work and on weekends, she enjoys hiking and kayaking.

Front office assistant manager/ accounting assistant
Originally from Northern Vermont, Nichole has been in Tahoe since April of 2008 and is happy she exchanged the bitter cold of the Northeast for the 300 plus days of sunshine in Lake Tahoe. Nichole works with conference coordinators to assign housing and coordinate smooth check ins at the office.

Conference staff director
Brian hires and supervises our staff each spring and fall conference season. When Brian isn't busy with the puzzling task of scheduling our 45 all-purpose staff or leading special projects, he enjoys disc golf and taking photographs. If you need help with anything while you're here, Brian is an excellent trouble shooter.

Erin started as dining room manager in spring 2012 after spending nine prior seasons working at Stanford Sierra. Erin is excited to provide guests with top quality meals and excellent customer service during their stay in our beautiful wilderness setting.

Fountain Manager
Gracie manages the fountain, our onsite store, and takes care of ordering all of the wine, beer and sodas for our social hours and special events. If you forget your toothbrush or toothpaste, or want a souvenir of your visit, the fountain is the place to go!

Stephen brought his wonderful baking skills to Stanford Sierra in the spring of 2012. Truffles, apricot scones, cookie bars, strawberry cheesecake .... he hasn't stopped amazing us or adding inches to our waistlines! If healthy is more your style, try Stephen's spelt bread, it's a treat!

After Morgan is finished with his housekeeping duties, you can find 'Captain Morgan'leading star-gazing cruises and volunteering at the Fallen Leaf Fire Dept.

Carrie is our reservations manager. Together with Gracie, Carrie handles the reservations for our alumni family camp, the Write Retreat, the Healthy Living Retreat for Women, Faculty Staff Weekend and our Memorial Weekend program for alumni.

As Camp's executive sous chef, Scotty-Dog tends to think of the kitchen as a sacred place of culinary fun. Scotty has been known to spice up lunch prep by wearing his kilt and putting on the Irish rock tunes. Originally from Southern California, Scotty-Dog now calls the Tahoe area "home".

Bruce brings excellent carpentry skills and attention-to-detail to his job maintaining the buildings and grounds. You will see Bruce's handiwork, unique and beautiful wood trim and fixtures, around the main lodge.

With years of experience working at Stanford Sierra in many different roles, Jonathan is a valuable asset to the maintenance department. After work, Jonathan volunteers at the fire department, mountain bikes, sails and skis.
